Justin Timberlake has a hearing scheduled in a New York court on Friday stemming from his summer DWI arrest.
Justin Timberlake heads back to court on Friday in the Hamptons for charges stemming from his June drunk driving arrest.
The SexyBack singer will appear in person for the 11 a.m. hearing in Sag Harbor.
“The Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office anticipates Mr. Timberlake will enter a plea; therefore, he will be there in person”, a spokesperson for the DA’s office tells Newsweek.
The former boy bander performed his last concert in Europe as part of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour in France on September 7. His next scheduled performance is at Audacy’s We Can Survive benefit concert in Newark on September 28 and his tour resumes in Montreal on October 4.
Last month, Timberlake pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor drunk driving charge in a virtual New York court. Sag Harbor Village Justice Carl Irace also suspended the singer’s permission to drive in New York. Timberlake’s attorney also withdrew his previous motion to dismiss the case.
“The most important fact to know about this case is that Justin was not intoxicated and should not have been arrested for DWI”, his lawyer Edward Burke Jr.
