Whoopi Goldberg defended Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s “affectionate” brunch reunion on “The View,” saying it “doesn’t mean” they’re back together.
Whoopi Goldberg gave Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s “affectionate” brunch her stamp of approval.
The “View” co-host told viewers on Monday that reuniting as famous exes can be “very hard” since people “sit around and … judge it.”
The actress, 68, noted that she believes the “Gigli” co-stars went to the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills, Calif., “because [their] kids wanted to.”
As for the duo holding hands and kissing, as Page Six reported over the weekend, Goldberg added, “I’m assuming … everybody was doing their thing, and if you’re happy with your family, then you are affectionate with them.
“It doesn’t mean you’re going home with them again,” she continued. “It just means, you know, ‘I’m not so mad at you that I can’t sit across from you.
