Former One Direction singer Zayn Malik thanks fans for their “understanding” as he postpones his tour following the death of Liam Payne.
Zayn Malik has postponed his American tour in the wake of the death of former bandmate Liam Payne. Malik announced the news on social media, where he wrote in an Instagram Story, “Given the heartbreaking loss experienced this week, I’ve made the decision to postpone the US leg of the STAIRWAY TO THE SKY tour.”
“The dates are being rescheduled for January and I’ll post them as soon as it’s all set in the next few days,” Malik continued. “Your tickets will remain valid for the new dates. Love you all and thank you for your understanding.”
Payne died Wednesday after falling from his third-story hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His bandmates Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Harry Styles released a statement following the news.
