Each brother has his own specialties in Mario and Luigi: Brothership based on the stats they start out with and the pace at which each one grows. While both brothers will still be very effective in combat, their individual stats will continue to increase in spread as they level up, such as Luigi having a very high Stache stat.
While there are predetermined stats that will level up whenever each brother levels up, there are accessories, beans, and gear that can be used to alter the stats of whoever uses them.
