For most of the game, players will be in possession of the flashlight. There are times when players will not have access to the flashlight, but even then, a spotlight still follows James throughout Silent Hill, somewhat lighting him.
The No Sweet FX Lights mod disables this spotlight, making the game that little bit spookier. It’s also surprising how much of a difference the small change can make, making areas feel even darker. The mod comes with a file to disable the backlight from the flashlight as well.6 Better Healing
