The 2025 WNBA All-Star Game will be without arguably the league’s biggest star, Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark.
On Thursday, Clark, who is in her second WNBA season, announced via the Fever that she won’t be participating in the All-Star Game and 3-point contest. She sustained a groin injury on Tuesday in the Fever’s 85-77 win against the Connecticut Sun at TD Garden.
In the Fever’s social media post announcing Clark’s All-Star absence, the 23-year-old said she plans to still be in Indianapolis and help coach her team in the game. WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert named Washington Mystics guard Brittney Sykes to replace Clark.
Clark was named as the captain for one All-Star team as it competes against the other team led by Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier.
