OnePlus has rolled out the latest OxygenOS 5.0.3 update for the OnePlus 3 and 3T devices. The key highlight of this update is that it brings the Face Unlock feature to both the handsets.
On the OnePlus forum, OnePlus posted that these are the following new updates:
* Launcher
– Refined Shelf UI design
– New design for App shortcuts
– Supported more options when long pressing an icon
* Gallery
– Places: a map view of photos by location
– Supported sharing photos to Shot-On-OnePlus
– Added “Recently Deleted” collection
* File Manager
– Added “Large files” category
* Weather
– Added new widget for Launcher
– Improved the positioning accuracy
– Adjust refresh interval for weather information update
OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users will see the OxygenOS 5.0.3 update in Settings > System Updates. Alternatively, uses can also download the new OxygenOS ROM from OnePlus forums and then flash it by following the given instructions.
OnePlus has also rolled out the first update of its latest flagship smartphone this week. The update brings the May security patch to the smartphone along with ability to hide the notch on the screen. Moreover, the update brings support for super slow motion videos (480fps at 720p, and 240fps at 1080p). The other features included in the update are Quick Capture for portrait mode which opens the camera and immediately clicks a photo when a user double tap on the power button.
With this update, the company has also updated the Gallery app which offers more options to access the recently deleted files. It is a gradual OTA update and will reach all the OnePlus devices soon.
