Plastic bucket saves the day as Wrigley Field scoreboard debris falls

Watch out for falling scoreboard debris.
So when is “Plastic Bucket Day” at Wrigley Field?
Apparently the folks in the bleacher seats might need a little extra protection while attending Chicago Cubs games, as a fan was hit by a piece of debris from the manual scoreboard.
The metal pin opened up a cut on the 19-year-old’s head that had be closed by stitches, but, according to police, it may have turned out worse if he hadn’t been wearing… a plastic bucket.
Not a bucket hat. But some kind of plastic bucket, apparently.
Oh, those crazy folks in the bleachers.
Team officials were investigating whether the pin was dropped by a worker, or if it had fallen from the scoreboard.
This has not been a problem in the past, the Cubs said, but maybe fans should bring their buckets just in case.
