As rumoured, Apple has just announced that it will be holding an event on October 30 at Brooklyn Academy of Music, Howard Gilman Opera House, New York, US. The Cupertino-based tech firm is rumoured to launch new iPad Pro models at the event and we may also see an upgraded version of the MacBook Pro laptops. The firm confirmed the event details in one of their Apple Events webpage.
The page simply says ‘Apple Special Event’ followed by ‘Live from Brooklyn. Watch On October 30 at 10am EDT.’ You can tune in to Apple’s live stream event on the same day starting 7.30PM IST. The invite sent by Apple adds ‘There’s more in the making’. Make of that what you will.
As one can see on Twitter, Apple has not sent the same invite to everyone around the globe. People are sharing different images on the social media wherein the Apple logo is shown in different designs.
The web page essentially uses a multi-coloured Apple logo to promote the event heavily indicating that the theme of the event could be something related to artwork. We will probably get to know more about it as the event date comes closer.
What to expect
Based on several recent rumours and leaks, Apple is supposed to bring the upgraded version of the iPad Pro models. These are said to have slimmer bezels on all the four sides, taking a bit of an inspiration from the iPhone design. Tipster Ming-Chi Kuo has said in a report that while the 12.9-inch iPad Pro could see a refreshed version this year, Apple may also introduce a brand new 11-inch model.
The new iPad devices are also said to ditch the TouchID home button and instead include the FaceID mechanism. There won’t be a notch though.
Some rumours have also pointed out towards the arrival of new Mac devices. These include a refreshed iMac, upgraded Mac Mini and probably cheaper MacBook laptops.
