MSNBC and CNN anchors were effusive in their praise of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) following the televised meeting she and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) had in the Oval Office with President Donald Trump about border security, calling her a “boss” and one of the “greatest politicians of all time.”
Pelosi, Schumer and Trump argued with cameras rolling Tuesday over funding for Trump’s long-promised southern border wall, with Pelosi drawing praise for challenging Trump to whip the votes for the wall in the Republican House—until Democrats take over next month—and later declaring the wall was tied to Trump’s ” manhood,” or lack thereof. Trump also said during the meeting he would gladly shut down the government and take full responsibility for it if he didn’t get the wall built.
