Asus recently launched the new Zenfone Max Pro M2 in India with some compelling specifications at a price that’s not too heavy on your pocket. Snapdragon 660,5000mAh battery, dual cameras, stock Android, it almost sounds like a perfect mid-ranger. Along with the superior SoC, Asus also spoke a lot about the dual 15 + 5MP f/1.8 cameras on the Max Pro M2 and while they might be good, you can get even better performance out of it by using the Google Camera port and just like the new Pixel devices, you can even use Night Sight which will turn your images in the dark into magically bright snaps. Before we get started, here are some pre-requisites – You’ll need the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 itself (duh), a micro-USB cable, Google Camera APK which you can download here, and a PC with ADB and Fastboot installed which you can find here. Download the file and install it. To be clear, no root required.
Once you get your hands on your shiny new Max Pro M2, you’ll need to head over to Settings > System > About Phone and tap on “Build Number” 7 times to enable Developer Options.
