Emily Blunt scored a surprise win at the Screen Actors Guild Awards Sunday night for her performance in “A Quiet Place,” and her acceptance speech left her husband and “A Quiet Place” director/co-writer John Krasinski misty-eyed.
When Blunt took the stage after winning the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role, she devoted most of her speech to thanking the Newton native. TNT’s cameras cut back to Krasinski three times during Blunt’s speech, with the actor appearing emotional each time.
“I am gonna share this completely with my husband, John Krasinski,” Blunt said.
