A 21-year-old US Marine died over the Memorial Day weekend — days after he was hurt in a tactical vehicle accident, officials announced.
Lance Cpl. Hans Sandoval Pereyra, an expeditionary airfield systems technician assigned to the Marines’ Aviation Combat Element, was taking part in a routine training exercise at the Mount Bundey Training area — a military facility near Darwin — on May 25 when the accident occurred, the Marine Corps said in a statement.
