In a statement, the Rwanda Investigation Bureau said, “Rusesabagina is suspected to be the founder, leader, sponsor and member of violent, armed, extremist terror outfits.”
Paul Rusesabagina, whose sheltering of over 1,200 Rwandans during the country’s 1994 genocide inspired the Oscar-nominated 2004 film Hotel Rwanda, was arrested on terrorism-related charges on Monday.
