Till very recently, Google had not made any official announcement about the Pixel 5a 5G. It was only after the rumours ran wild, Google grabbed the opportunity to announce its upcoming phone.
Google Pixel 5a 5G is not cancelled, it is pretty much on its way for a release. A lot of Google Pixel fans were left heartbroken when a bevvy of reports claimed that Google has cancelled Pixel 5a 5G due to chip shortage. However, Google denied the rumours and in return announced that the Pixel 5a 5G will be launched this year. The anticipated Google Pixel smartphone will be launched in US and Japan. Reacting to the rumours, a Google spokesperson said, “Pixel 5a 5G is not cancelled. It will be available later this year in the U.S. and Japan and announced in line with when last year’s a-series phone was introduced.
