Google is making these Android phones useless starting September 27th

Google is ending sign-in support for very old versions of Android. If a system update is not available for your phone, you might have trouble signing in on Google apps.
Google is forcing users to upgrade their old Android devices. The Mountain View company will soon end support for devices running an almost a decade old Android 2.3.7 version or lower. That covers Android 1.0,1.1 (unnamed),1.5 Cupcake,1.6 Donut,2.0 Eclair,2.2 Froyo, and 2.3 Gingerbread. In an email sent to customers using such devices, Google says that starting September 27th they will no longer be able to sign in to Google apps such as Gmail, YouTube, Play Store, and Drive.
