Today, Microsoft’s Jason Ronald announced that Xbox Series X Insiders on the Alpha – Skip Ahead ring would get a higher-resolution interface. The console renders its dashboard at 1080p at the moment.
The Xbox Series X is an incredibly fast console that renders many games at 4K resolution and up to 120 frames per second. However, the interface — also known as the UI — renders at just 1080p. This can be a somewhat jarring experience because the text and images on the dashboard appear blurry on modern 4K displays. It doesn’t match the crispness of the gameplay showcased by the device.
