Proud Boy At ‘Forefront’ Of Capitol Riots Gets 4 Year Prison Sentence

A member of the far-right Proud Boys group and a former Washington, D.C. bartender was sentenced to 55 months in prison on Monday after he apologized for his role in the riot but continued to insist the 2020 presidential election was rigged, the latest of more than 175 Capitol riot defendants to be sentenced.
At least 896. That’s how many people have been charged for crimes related to the Capitol riots, according to a tracker maintained by Insider.
Pruitt was a part of a Proud Boys group message where members chatted about plans to go to the Capitol and breach the building on January 6, though he had yet to become an official member of the far-right group, prosecutors said.
