The Carolina Hurricanes take their 2-0 lead in the Stanley Cup playoffs on the road Friday, where the Islanders will hope to establish a foothold in the best-of-7 series.

Raleigh, N.C. — The Carolina Hurricanes were the only team in the NHL to win their first two games at home in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
They’re trying to bring their show on the road.
After the second period of Game 3 with the New York Islanders, neither team has the advantage. The Canes and Isles are tied at 1-1 heading into the third period at UBS Arena in Elmont, N.Y.

The Canes are trying to win their first road playoff game since the second round of the 2021 playoffs at Tampa Bay.
