Some Starfield players love how Bethesda handled the dialogue in the game, with one fan even going as far as saying that the writers should get a raise for how well done it is. Much like many of the Bethesda games before it, the dialogue options in Starfield are a major highlight of the game.
The dialogue options in Bethesda games are all about agency and choice. Games like The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim and Fallout 4 offer branching paths and multiple outcomes based on the player’s decisions, making each choice feel more impactful and personal. The dialogue choices in Starfield continue this tradition, except this time, there are way more to pick from, as this game has over 250,000 lines of spoken dialogue. With that much dialogue written for the game, it was imperative for Todd Howard, the director of Starfield, to make sure that these lines were written to be as immersive and engaging as possible.
