Saturday Night Live fans are hoping Kristen Wiig returns to the show after a video of Tim Walz’s wife has gone viral online.
Gwen Walz had a strong reaction to Barack Obama’s speech at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago on Tuesday. The former United States president praised the flannel shirts of Walz, the Democratic vice presidential candidate, during the event.
“I love this guy. Tim is the kind of person who should be in politics”, Obama said. “You can tell those flannel shirts he wears don’t come from some political consultant. They come from his closet, and they have been through some stuff.”
As the crowd erupted into cheers, the camera panned to Gwen Walz clapping and appearing to say, “So true.”
The video has been making the rounds on X, formerly Twitter, with many fans urging Wiig to play the role of Gwen Walz on SNL.
