The daughter of the band’s drummer has been reported missing in Seattle and a 17-year-old prodigy who collaborated with the group has died in a car accident.
A member of the group The Flaming Lips has spoken out after a 17-year-old prodigy who played with the group was killed in a car crash and then one of his bandmates’ daughters was reported missing.
The family of Canadian musician Nell Smith, known for her collaborations with the rock band, confirmed the news of her death in an Instagram statement on Monday.
Meanwhile, Charlotte “Bowie” Drozd, the daughter of Steven Drozd, the drummer in the iconic rock band, has been reported missing in Seattle, prompting concern from her family and friends. She was last spotted on October 5 at 11:30 a.m. aboard the monorail near the Seattle Space Needle, possibly heading to Seattle’s downtown area.
The rocker’s daughter is described as a 16-year-old white female, approximately 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing around 130 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes, according to a post on The Flaming Lips’ account on X, formerly Twitter, on Monday afternoon.
Newsweek emailed a spokesperson for The Flaming Lips for comment on Tuesday.
