Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin declined to name the Week 7 starting quarterback, but a star wide receiver may have let it slip in an interview.
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was non-commital about which quarterback will be starting in Week 7. Well, Tomlin stated he has determined a starter, but he was keeping the decision “in-house.”
Despite Tomlin wanting to keep the state a secret, Steelers star wide receiver George Pickens appears to have let the information slip while speaking to reporters after practice on Friday.
ESPN Steelers reporter Brooke Pryor posted the video on X, which showcases Pickens talking about quarterback Russell Wilson. During the questions, Pickens stated that he has been spending more time with Wilson to get acclimated to his style of play. Pickens then states, “Because this is his [Wilson] first start.”
Though Tomlin did not want the media to know who was starting, Pickens might have just revealed who would take the lead on Sunday.
