The alerts will pop up from a speedometer-like icon to the left of your account’s profile image.
It’s no secret that the Chrome browser tends to slow down when too many tabs are left open, so Google is rolling out new performance features for Chrome on desktops.
First up is the Performance Detection tool. If you’re experiencing sluggishness on your current tab, Chrome will flash a “Performance issue alert” on the top right and suggest you deactivate tabs that are hogging memory.
