Want to Stay on Windows 10 After 2025? It'll Cost You

Individual users can extend support for one year, but will only receive critical security updates.
Microsoft is set to end support for Windows 10 on Oct. 14, 2025, but those who are not ready to make the leap to Windows 11 can pay $30 to stay on the company’s aging OS.
Earlier this year, Microsoft said it would offer an Extended Security Update (ESU) license for businesses for $61 per device for one year, a price that will double every consecutive year for up to three years. At the time, it said pricing information for consumers would be announced “at a later date”, and that date is today.
