A complete guide to finding and farming gold quickly in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake.
Gold is one of the primary resources you’ll encounter in Dragon Quest 3 Remake, and the game’s primary currency. Having an ample supply of gold will always be advantageous, but it is especially so during the game’s first half. While many of DQIII Remake’s best items can be found for free in the overworld, there will be several instances where you may wish to simply buy a better weapon or piece of armor, and this guide to finding gold fast in Dragon Quest 3 Remake will help ensure that you are always ready to make that luxury purchase. Where to Farm Gold in Dragon Quest 3 Remake
While every enemy encounter you complete in Dragon Quest 3 Remake will earn you gold, there are a few special enemies throughout the game that you should focus on if you are looking to farm large amounts of gold. The amount of gold you earn will increase greatly the more you progress through DQIII Remake, but so do the prices.
This means that, while buying weapons and armor is a better idea early in the game, there will always be extremely powerful items for sale, so farming gold is always useful. Here, we will cover the best locations to farm gold at each stage of the game.

During this section of the game, you will receive a small amount of gold for every encounter. Pay attention to which areas you seem to have the easiest time getting through quickly, and if you are looking for gold this early in the game, spend as much time as necessary quickly defeating the easier enemies. However, the better option, is to get through these sections quickly, and reach your first real gold-farming location in DQIII: the Pyramid.
The Pyramid dungeon in Ibis is the third main dungeon in Dragon Quest 3 Remake, and the first to feature an enemy that drops far more gold than the average foe. This enemy is the Bag O’ Laughs.
Each Bag O’ Laughs will drop several times the gold as other enemies you’ll encounter leading up to the Pyramid.
