As the 2024 NWSL Shield Winners, which is awarded to the team with the most wins in the season, the Pride closed out the 2024 season with the ultimate result as Barbra Banda scored her 17th goal in the league and her fourth goal in the postseason run.Banda Leads the Club to Historic Win
Although the Spirit finished off their previous semifinal with a dramatic penalty kick shootout with three saves from goalkeeper Aubrey Kingsbury, the Pride made sure to press immediately within the opening minutes.
The Spirit also looked to key players such as Trinity Rodman and Ashley Hatch in the final third but with a backline for Emily Sams and Kerry Abello, the Pride deflected their attempts.
