Two independent investigators found that batteries provided by a Samsung affiliate overheated due to pressure on the right corner of the battery, the company said, while those batteries in the replacement devices had a “fused bump.”
The Wall Street Journal reported Friday that the problems pointed to a battery that didn’t fit into its phone casing, and to manufacturing flaws related to intensified production.
