OkCoin and Huobi said early Thursday Eastern U. S. time that withdrawals would be suspended until they finish upgrading their antimoney laundering systems to comply with regulators’ demands that bitcoin trading platforms operate in accordance with national laws. They expect the suspension to last for about a month.
During the suspension, customers will still be able to withdraw renminbi from their brokerage accounts, they said.
