Crews tweeted an email the hip hop mogul sent him earlier this month.
“Brooklyn Nine-Nine star” Terry Crews said Sunday that Russell Simmons asked him to give a “pass” to the powerful agent who he accused of groping him.
Crews tweeted an email the hip hop mogul sent him earlier this month, going to bat for William Morris Endeavor executive Adam Venit.
“Did he ever apologize,” according to the Nov. 3 Simmons email posted by Crews. “Give the agent a pass .. ask that he be reinstated.” Simmons signed off: “With great love, all things are possible.”
Crews’ revelation about Simmons, came hours after the Los Angeles Times reported that a model accused the hip-hop mogul of sexually assaulting her in 1991 when she was just 17.
Simmons denied the allegations made by Keri Claussen Khalighi, saying all interactions he had with her were consensual.
In the wake of the burgeoning Harvey Weinstein sexual harassment scandal, Crews revealed last month that a “high level Hollywood executive … groped my privates” at an industry event.
Crews didn’t immediately name names. But the actor finally did, outing Venit as his alleged attacker. Venit was suspended by William Morris.
