The biggest shopping day of the year is fast approaching – here are all the best deals on PS4 games, consoles, and accessories for Black Friday 2017.
Black Friday has been the biggest shopping day of the year for a while now, and 2017 shows no sign of being any different. There are discounts on just about everything, but gaming tends to be one of the biggest sectors – and with the PS4 the dominant console on the market, there should be plenty of good deals around.
This year could be a particularly good year for PlayStation 4 discounts, because Black Friday 2017 falls just after the launch of Microsoft’s 4K-capable Xbox One X, and we bet Sony will be doing everything it can to convince players to eschew the Xbox and stick with them.
We won’t know all the best Black Friday discounts until it arrives on 24 November, but until then we’ve rounded up a few of the best PS4 deals on the market right now to tide you over – and head to our deals site to find more of our curated picks.
We’re hoping to see standalone PS4 Pro offers dropping below £300 for the first time, while bundles with games likely won’t cost much more. We’d also be surprised if you can’t get a PS4 Slim 500GB together with a game for £200 or so.
The first such bundle has already arrived, with Currys offering a PS4 Pro together with three games – FIFA 18, Call of Duty: WW2, and Crash Bandicoot – for just £329.99. That’s £20 less than the price of the console on its own, with three games thrown in too.
PSVR should also see some price drops as Sony tries to push it as the affordable VR platform, especially in the face of recent price cuts on the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
There are already some fantastic PSVR bundles this year. Game is offering the headset, camera, compilation game PlayStation Worlds, and either Skyrim or GT Sport for just £249.99 – and adding in a pair of Move controllers only takes it up to £299.99. These have been selling out fast, but stock is returning every now and then – keep an eye on this page and we’ll update it whenever the deals are live.
Naturally, loads of PS4 and PSVR games will be available for their lowest prices yet too, like Game’s reduction of the brand-new Wolfenstein II to just £30 .
And of course, it won’t end with Black Friday (or even really begin then). Deals will arrive throughout Black Friday week, and continue over the weekend to Cyber Monday on 27 November – and in some cases through to the end of the month, or even beyond into the Christmas season.
Most major game retailers will be doing big discounts for Black Friday, along with just about anywhere else that sells games.
Amazon has started its discounts early, so keep an eye on the site this week for the first bargains. Other retailers, including Currys and Argos, have also launched their sales already.
If you’ve found that you’re missing out on Amazon’s Lightning deals, which run for just a few hours and offer limited stock, we’d recommend signing up for Amazon’s 30 day free trial of Prime, which will get you access to deals 30 minutes before everyone else. Plus, you’ll get free next-day delivery with the Prime trial, as well as access to Prime Instant Video and more.
