A week after production shut down on “Bohemian Rhapsody,” director Bryan Singer has officially been fired from the project.
“Bryan Singer is no longer the director of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody,’ ” a Twentieth Century Fox Film spokesperson told the Daily News.
Singer vanished from the set of the Freddie Mercury biopic, causing production to halt on Dec. 1.
A source told The News that Singer was fired for “a pattern of unreliable behavior on set” and that the studio wanted another director to finish the movie.

Rami Malek, who stars as the Queen frontman, complained to the studio about Singer’s “unreliability and unprofessionalism,” according to the Hollywood Reporter .
Tom Hollander’s rep denied reports that the actor had quit his role as band manager Jim Beach before being convinced to return to the movie.
“Bohemian Rhapsody” only has about two more weeks of filming, according to the Hollywood Reporter .
The movie is still expected to meet its scheduled December 2018 release.
