Authorities responding to emergency situation at Lambeau Field
GREEN BAY – A Green Bay man is in custody after he crashed into multiple cars and drove into a storage area in the interior of Lambeau Field while chasing a former co-worker Friday afternoon.
Green Bay Police Chief Andrew Smith said the 20-year-old suspect was fired Dec. 3 from his job at Lambeau Field, where he worked for a contract food service company, after he was involved in an altercation with a co-worker.
Smith said the man went to police to make a report Friday afternoon, possibly about his belief that he had been wrongfully terminated, before driving to Lambeau Field, where he found the employee with whom he’d had the altercation.
The suspect crashed his car into the other person’s vehicle shortly after 1 p.m., forcing it under a minivan that was parked in front of it. He chased the victim with his car as the victim ran toward the loading dock on the south side of the stadium, Smith said.
The suspect drove into a loading area and entered the interior of the stadium before crashing in a storage area. He was able to enter the stadium because a security gate had been raised for a truck, Smith said.

No one was injured, Smith said.
Police have not named the suspect. Smith said he expects police to request that the man be charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon.
Multiple law enforcement and emergency agencies responded to the incident, and much of the south end of the stadium parking lot was blocked off by authorities. However, business continued as usual in other parts of the stadium.
Smith said authorities did not evacuate or lock down the entire stadium “because this was an isolated incident that was occurring in the southeast end of the stadium.”
Green Bay Packers spokesman Aaron Popkey said the Packers will review their operations, investigate what happened and determine if any changes are necessary.
The Packers play the Minnesota Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in their final game of the season at Lambeau Field.
