True to the rumors, HTC U11 EYEs has made its official debut in China today. As pointed by our previous report, the new smartphone can be seen as the mid-range version of the U11+ that has just been launched in Malaysia recently.
Among characteristics that both U11 EYEs and U11+ shared together are their 6-inch screen size, 18:9 full screen ratio, 12MP UltraPixel 3 rear camera, 8.5mm thickness, and 3930 mAh battery. The U11 EYEs even comes with Hi-Res Audio support as well as Edge Sense, Edge Launcher, and USonic features that are available on U11+.
Of course, there are many things that separate them together as well. For example, the display resolution of U11 EYEs is FHD+ instead of Quad HD+ as per U11+. The IP67-certified phone is also running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor which essentially positioned U11 EYEs as a mid-range device.
The U11 EYEs also comes with a pair of 5MP cameras on its front which is likely the reason behind its name. Not to forget, the phone is also equipped with lower amount of RAM and smaller storage space at 4GB and 64GB respectively as compared to the flagship-level U11+.
Available for pre-order in China, the phone carries a price-tag of CNY 3299 (about RM 2028). There is no official announcement regarding its availability outside of China for the time being but we will not be surprised if HTC decides to release it in others market soon as a lower-tier alternative to U11+.
