Mark Hollis says ‘this is the right time’ for him to step down
Michigan State University athletic director Mark Hollis became the latest domino to fall in the Larry Nassar scandal, but questions remain.
Hollis has said he was unaware that Nassar sexually assaulted dozens upon dozens of female athletes in the past couple decades, but he announced Friday he was stepping down as furor continues to mount over the MSU’s handling of the situation.
Hollis said he believes that “I know this is the right time” for him to step down.
Just hours after Hollis’ resignation, the athletic department was the subject of an ESPN report alleging that issues involving sexual assault run deeper than just the Nassar case.
