At least 10 people were killed and dozens injured as a result of an explosion in Afghan capital of Kabul on Saturday, the Russian Embassy in Afghanistan told Sputnik Saturday.
“According to the preliminary information at least 10 people were killed and 50 more injured… No information about Russian citizens injured in the explosion was provided,” a spokesman for the embassy said.
According to media reports, the number of injured has reached 79.
Earlier in the day, a massive explosion hit the Afghan capital after a bomb-laden car detonated near the old building of country’s Interior Ministry.
The emergency vehicles reportedly rushed to the scene.
