Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and U. S. President Donald Trump on Saturday agreed to request North Korea take concrete actions toward denuclearization.
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and U. S. President Donald Trump on Saturday agreed to request North Korea take concrete actions toward denuclearization.
They welcomed Friday’s summit between South Korean President Moon Jae-in and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, calling the meeting a historic step toward the peace and stability of Northeast Asia. In a 30-minute telephone conversation, Abe and Trump also agreed to work together to resolve the issue of North Korea’s abduction of Japanese nationals decades ago.
