A Malaysian man believed to be the boyfriend of the second suspect, was held on Wednesday night.
Malaysian police say a third person has been arrested in connection with the apparent assassination of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s half-brother, Kim Jong Nam, the Associated Press reports.
A Malaysian man believed to be the boyfriend of the second suspect, was held on Wednesday night, police official Abdul Samah told reporters.
Abdul Samah says the man provided information that led to the arrest of a second female suspect who was using Indonesian travel documents.
The suspect was positively identified from the CCTV footage at the Kuala Lumpur airport, the police said in a statement.
Indonesia’s Foreign Ministry has requested consular access to the woman, confirming that she is an Indonesian citizen based on data provided by Malaysia and the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.
Malaysian police on Wednesday detained a further woman holding Vietnam travel papers and said they were looking for a “few” other foreign suspects in connection with the apparent assassination of Kim Jong Nam at the Kuala Lumpur airport.
