E3 2017: The 5 biggest reveals during the PlayStation event

We saw lots of games. Here was the best of the best at PlayStation.
LOS ANGELES — Monday’s PlayStation event ahead of the Electronic Entertainment Expo was all about one word: games.
There were no bullet points about sales (those came later) , or subscribers to PlayStation Network, or anything business oriented. It was only about the games launching on PS4 later this year and next year.
Let’s recap the biggest reveals during Sony’s event:
The wall-crawler made his debut on the Sony stage in a six-minute demo where we saw our hero take out multiple criminals and create an amazing web hammock to stop a helicopter from dropping on New York citizens.
Sony’s long-running God of War series is known for brutality. It follows Kratos, a Spartan warrior who takes out Greek gods like Ares and Zeus, and ultimately becomes a deity himself. For the next installment, we look at Kratos and his relationship with his son, whom he wants to groom to protect himself against a variety of threats.
Although the game shifts toward a focus on Norse mythology, God of War didn’t seem to abandon its scale, based on the gameplay footage shown. Yeah, that serpent at the end is pretty creepy.
This classic game for the PlayStation 2 returns as a remaster for PS4, as players revisit the tale of Wander, who must save a young girl by slaying 16 giants.
Perhaps one the most interesting games at Sony’s press event was Detroit: Become Human, which chronicles a future where androids are here to help humanity. Only it appears they’re not happy doing this any more.
