The display size stays the same at 5.5 inches with 16: 9 aspect ratio and 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. Motorola says that the smartphone has water-repellent nano coating, which isn’ t the same as IP68 certification, but makes sure that water doesn’ t reach internal components under certain conditions.
Moreover, the smartphone has a redesigned fingerprint button on the front, with a larger elliptical shape and a protruding camera on the back. In terms of internal specs, the Moto Z2 Play runs the new Snapdragon 626 platform, built on the 14nm manufacturing process.
RAM capacity stands at 3GB or 4GB, while internal storage is offered in two options, either 32GB or 64GB. Moto Z2 Play offers a dual-pixel auto-focus 12MP sensor on the back with f/1.7 aperture, while the front camera capacity reaches 5MP with f/2.2 aperture with dual LED flash. The new phone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
