Microsoft’s press conference was undeniably the most anticipated of E3 2017, bringing with it the long-awaited unveiling of Project Scorpio, revealed to be the Xbox One X.

Here’s the good news: if you’re reading this, you’re already halfway there. Microsoft has put its entire E3 2017 press conference on YouTube, and you can watch it through the embedded player right at the top of this page. Just skip ahead to around the 40-minute mark to get to the good stuff.
This year was all about the Xbox One X, the only major hardware announcement from any company at E3 2017. Microsoft finally fully unveiled its rival to the PlayStation 4 Pro, and it’s a bit of a beast.
We already knew the specs going in, but we finally got to see the final form factor (which is impressively small) , find out the name (Xbox One X) , and get the release date (7 November) and price (£449/$499) .
The big title Microsoft used to show off the One X’s 4K power to its full potential was the upcoming ” target=”_blank”>Forza Motorsport 7. It’s, well, exactly what you’d expect – fast cars, pretty racetracks, ludicrous graphical detail.
Despite having its own E3 event to worry about, Ubisoft gave Microsoft the official reveal of Assassin’s Creed: Origins, its new prequel set in Ancient Egypt. Just about everything about the game had been leaked in advance, but it was still great to finally see it in 4K action.
This one was a bit of a surprise – Microsoft teased a new game before starting up the trailer for Metro: Exodus, which looks to have expanded the series into an open world and added drastically more mutant bears than ever before. It’s not an Xbox exclusive, but it looks pretty great.
Here’s one that is an Xbox (and PC) exclusive: State of Decay 2, the sequel to the popular zombie survival shooter. Expect more vehicles, more building, and more, uh, zombies probably.
Another Xbox console exclusive, Crackdown 3 is set to launch alongside the Xbox One X in November. The E3 trailer emphasised the inclusion of Terry Crews, and we can’t blame them – Terry Crews is pretty brilliant.
Another much-leaked game, Before the Storm is a three-part prequel to episodic hit Life Is Strange. We’re not sure quite how the prequel will fit into the story, but we can’t wait to find out.
We’ve barely scratched the surface. Microsoft’s event included over 40 games, 22 of which are console exclusives, and we can’t possibly cover them all – but luckily Microsoft’s montage does a much better job.
