Flint man died after his car crashed into house, burst into flames

The crash happened after 9 a.m. Friday, July 21.
FLINT, MI — A man who crashed his vehicle into a house Friday, July 21, has died, said Sgt. Duane Zook of the Michigan State Police.
Zook said 40-year-old Landon Jones of Flint died Friday morning.
Flint Fire Department District Commander Steve Cobb said Friday that a man was critically injured after crashing his vehicle into a rear deck area of a home just after 9 a.m. Friday in the 1500 block of West Genesee Street.
The Flint Fire Department responded to the vehicle, which Cobb said caught fire and had a man inside it.
Firefighters used the “Jaws of Life” to remove the man from the vehicle and he was taken to a local hospital. Zook said Jones was originally listed in critical condition.
