Review: Boyz II Men put on soulful live performance at Nassau Coliseum (Includes first-hand account)

On July 7, Grammy-winning R&B trio Boyz II Men performed at Nassau Coliseum on Long Island, as part of the “Total Package” Tour, with Paula Abdul and headliners New Kids on the Block.
Uniondale – On July 7, Grammy-winning R&B trio Boyz II Men performed at Nassau Coliseum on Long Island, as part of the “Total Package” Tour, with Paula Abdul and headliners New Kids on the Block. Boyz II Men welcomed the crowd to the “Total Package Tour 2017, ” prior to introducing themselves as a harmonizing group from Philly. They showcased their velvet vocals on “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday, ” and they had their audience snap their fingers smoothly on “Water Runs Dry, ” and the fans put their hands up in the sky for the R&B group. “Long Island. Let me hear you make some noise, ” they screamed. “Are you ready to rock?” they asked, and they displayed their sultry rock side by tipping their hats to Lenny Kravitz with “Are You Gonna Go My Way” and “American Woman, ” which featured two of the group members playing guitars. An added treat was hearing them cover Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out of Heaven, ” as part of their rock medley. Their highlight vocal of the evening was their signature ballad “I’ll Make Love to You, ” where a red backdrop displayed on the giant televised screen; moreover, they handed roses to their female fans in the audience during this lovey dovey portion of the show. Equally beautiful was their rendition of “One Sweet Day, ” sans Mariah Carey, but the Nassau Coliseum audience filled in for her as their duet partners. They closed on a fitting note with “End of the Road, ” where they left their fans wanting for more. The Verdict Overall, Boyz II Men were delightful at Nassau Coliseum in New York. They were able to warm up the stage for Paula Abdul and They kicked off their set with “Motownphilly, ” and it was followed by the romantic “On Bended Knee.” “Let’s have a good ass time tonight!” they exclaimed. “Long Island. How you doing?
