One of these 3 players will win the PGA Championship

Don’t question it. It’s science.
I wish I could take credit for unearthing this beauty of a statistic, but I can’t. All praise goes to CBS Sports’ golf analyst Ian Baker-Finch, who shared it on Saturday’s third-round broadcast. Needless to say, I’m all in on it heading into the final round of the PGA Championship.
What’s the stat, you ask? Here are the names of the three players who have won majors so far in 2017. Notice anything familiar?
But we’re not here to question golf’s overlords, merely to abide by their will. Applying that stat to those currently within the top 15 of the PGA Championship leaderboard, the Golf Gods have signaled one of these three players will walk away the winner on Sunday.
Thomas comes into the final round two shots back of Kevin Kisner’s lead.

The Canadian comes into Sunday five shots back following a birdie-eagle-eagle-birdie run starting on hole 13.

On the one hand, he has six shots to make up and 14 players to leapfrog, but on the other, both his first and last name has six letters in it.

So there you have it. Spoiler warning: One of those three players are guaranteed to win. It is ordained. But there’s still time for some honorable mentions.
The overnight leader at seven under is being let down by his five-lettered first name.
Four shots back, drop the “G” and Murray may have stood a chance.
Unless he goes by “Cheesy” or something, the four-lettered “Chez” won’t be enough to make up the six shots he needs.
