Although LG did not announce a price or release date for its upcoming V30 handset, it might have let the price leak if details for a contest being held by the firm are to be believed.
After being teased for close to a month, LG finally revealed the V30 to the world at IFA Berlin. The firm touted the smartphone’s OLED FullVision display with Floating Bar, dual 16MP cameras, its 32-bit Advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC, and an assortment of other features. While it wouldn’t mention a release date, it would also omit the handset’s price.
Well, it appears that some eagle-eyed folks might have uncovered the retail price of the phone by digging through some details. The firm is currently holding a competition on Twitter where it is giving away three units of the recently announced handset. The tweet also includes a link to the full terms of the contest, which holds the key to the price of the V30.
In Section Eight, the firm talks about the value of the prize and states that the V30 has an approximate retail value (ARV) of $749.99. Of course, this could be just a number established for the contest, but it seems like an accurate price, considering last year’s V20 was around the same ballpark. Naturally, we will have to wait until LG announces something official, but this should give those interested a ballpark number for the time being.
