OneNote for Android now supports fingerprint unlock for Notebook sections

OneNote for Android now supports fingerprint unlocking and password protection for sections, after the latest update. This feature was previously only available for OneNote Insiders on Android.
OneNote for Android has been updated with fingerprint unlock support for Notebook sections, as well as password protection. Although these features were released to OneNote Insiders on Android a week ago, Microsoft has now rolled out version 16.0.8625.2040, which introduces them to regular users as well.
Fingerprint unlocking for any section can not, however, be set directly. First, you’ll be required to set up a password for the created section. When you try to unlock it, you’ll be prompted to ”unlock with fingerprint next time”. This option will automatically be set in the affirmative, so you won’t need to toggle it. Henceforth, any time you attempt to access the password-protected section, you’ll be provided the option to use your fingerprint to unlock it.
Previously, Android users could only set passwords for their notes using the OneNote desktop app. This makes the new feature all the more welcoming for OneNote Android users.
