A pedestrian died Wednesday morning after being struck by a car in Franklin.
Police said on Wednesday at approximately 6:40 a.m., a pedestrian that had been struck by a motor vehicle on the west side of the Lions Bridge.
Police said the pedestrian, a 55-year-old male, walked into the roadway in front of a vehicle traveling north on Miami Ave. while turning right onto Lions Bridge.
Witnesses say that the vehicle had the green light, police said.
The pedestrian was transported to the Atrium Hospital where he died from his injuries. The deceased’s identity is being withheld until family is notified, police said.
Police said the driver of the vehicle, Jessi Siler, 21, of Middletown was cited for driving under suspension.
