The Exynos 9810 chipset by Samsung is now official. The Exynos 8895 chipset that is present under the hood of 2017 flagship smartphones by Samsung such as Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 is the first generation 10nm chipset from the company. The newly Exynos 9810 has been introduced as the second generation 10nm chipset.
Samsung’s latest press release states that 36 of its products will be receiving Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018 Innovation Awards. The new Exynos 9810 chipset is also included in the list of products that will be awarded in mid-January.
The exact configuration of the Exynos 9819 chipset is not available. However, the company has stated that the chipset belongs to the Exynos 9 Series family. It features third-generation custom CPU cores and it also includes ARM Mail-G71 GPU that is also available on the Exynos 9810.

The Cat. 18 gigabit 6CA LTE modem is capable of reaching maximum download speeds of 1.2 Gbps. The 5CA modem available on the Exynos 8895 can reach a peak download speed of 1 Gbps. Samsung is expected to reveal the exact specifications of the Exynos 9810 in the near future.
Recent rumors have revealed that the Exynos 9810 chipset will be powering the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ flagship phones that are speculated to launch in Q1 2018. Reports have also suggested that Samsung will be releasing Snapdragon 845 edition of the Galaxy S9 duo in markets like the U. S. and China. The Snapdragon 835 is the first generation 10nm chipset by Qualcomm and the unannounced SD845 is speculated as the second generation 10nm chipset.
A report from the previous month has revealed that Samsung is interested in neural AI chips for speech recognition, neural language processing and so on. The South Korean company may include a neural AI chip along with Exynos 9810 on the Galaxy S9 duo.
