Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy J2 2018 smartphone has been found listed on a retailer’s website in Russia.

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy J series smartphone, the Galaxy J2 (2018) has been the subject of a number of leaks and reports lately. Recently, the phone’s alleged press renders and specifications were leaked on the interwebs. Now, ahead of the official unveiling, the phone has been spotted on Russian retailer BeCompact’s website, complete with images, specifications and pricing details.
As per the images on the website, the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) will sport a plastic body with a removable back panel. The phone has a single camera setup at the rear alongside an LED flash and a loudspeaker. The device will measure 8mm around the waist, and tip the scales at 153 grams. On the front, the handset will get a dedicated LED flash unit for the selfie camera and a physical home button with capacitive buttons to go back and open recent apps.
As for the specs, the listing reveals that the Galaxy J2’s 2018 model will offer a 5-inch Super AMOLED display bearing a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. The phone will be powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, mated to 1.5GB of RAM. The storage capacity on board will be 16GB, further expandable up to 256GB by inserting a microSD card.
The Galaxy J2 2018 model will come with an 8-megapixel primary shooter at the rear and a 5-megapixel secondary snapper on the front, both with dedicated LED flash units. The connectivity features will include dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, VoLTE (voice over LTE), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. A 2,600mAh battery completes the list of specifications.
Lastly, the retailer’s website reveals that the 2018 model of the Samsung Galaxy J2 will be priced at 7,990 Rubles (~Rs 8,900). The company is expected to officially unveil the device at some point in January next year.
