The newer Moto X4 variant is launching in India on February 1. It might pack in 6GB of RAM, and is expected to run Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
Lenovo-owned Motorola launched the Moto X4 smartphone back in November 2017 in India. Initially, the brand had released 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM variants of the device for a price of Rs. 20,999, and Rs. 22,999, respectively. Now, it looks like Motorola planning to bring a higher-end variant of the phone.
If you have a look at the tweet from Motorola India’s official Twitter handle, it mentions “faster, smarter and sharper Moto X4 arriving soon”, it looks like the phone will be launched on February 1,2018. The newer variant is likely to feature 6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and Android 8.0 Oreo.
To remind you more about the Moto X4, it sports a 5.2-inch AMOLED display with Full HD resolution. The screen is as well laminated with Gorilla Glass protection for scratch resistance. The smartphone uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 630 SoC and comes in 3GB and 4GB RAM versions. The base model packs in 32GB storage, whereas the later comes with 64GB storage. Both the variants have an expandable storage option and they run Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. However, the company has started rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo to Android One and non-Android One variants of the phone in the US.

For imaging, the Moto X4 features a dual-camera setup at the rear consisting of a 12-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor. The front-facing camera has a resolution of 16 megapixels, complete with beauty mode and selfie panorama mode. The front-facing camera also has an LED flash for brighter selfies in low-light conditions. The Moto X4 uses a 3000mAh non-removable battery along with 15-watt fast charging support. The phone also offers a front-mounted fingerprint reader that also doubles up as a home button.
